"Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}. This is a blog circle so please be sure to visit the next photographer in the circle.
I spent my 30 minutes this month in the Treehouse in our backyard. This was built for our own children but since the grandkids have come along it's been modified a little and reinforced to make up for the aging that it's seen.
The whole time I was out there I was thinking of the Shel Silverstein poem from the book, Where the Sidewalk Ends called Tree House.
"Tree House"
A tree house, a free house,
A secret you and me house,
A high up in the leafy branches
Cozy as can be house.
A street house, a neat house,
Be sure to wipe your feet house
Is not my kind of house at all-
Let's go live in a tree house."
_Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends
Here are my photos from my 30 minutes.
Next up in our circle is the lovely Kim Sidwell of Kim Sidwell Photography. Please take time to check out her 30 minutes! You'll love it!
This are all so wonderful! I love how you captured the details, and all the possibilities of this magical place.
Janet you got me with the first image. My favorite style to shoot. We had a tree house for the kids and they had so much fun in it. I love how you have captured all the leaves and the change in season. So many different and beautiful perspectives that you have got here. I love them.
Photos like this make me so excited for fall. I love these photos. I seriously can hear the leaves crunching and the wind blowing in my head.
I have always wanted a tree house. These are so good, Janet!
