"Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}. This is a blog circle so please be sure to visit the next photographer in the circle.
About a month ago I found a new game! Our homeschooling grandkids are learning all about money and this game was exactly the thing to help out and they LOVE it!
On your turn, you roll the dice and move the correct number of spaces. Each space has an amount (in cents) of what to collect from the bank. Before you can collect your money you have to spin the spinner. You can collect with any variety of coins except for the coin that the spinner lands on...so you must learn to use what you have available to collect/count your money! (Sometimes, it allows you to use any variety you want.)
It takes a lot of thought while you're learning your coin amounts, but the kids caught on super quick and even wanted to help me collect my coins!
It's all a game of learning and luck. A lot depends on what you land on and how much you end up with and although it says for ages 7 and up, the five year old seems to win every time!! (and we don't let him win...he just does!) We call him Mr. Moneybags and you have no idea how well this name suits his personality! He's quite the little saver!
