30 minutes in the Life: April 2021

"Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}. This is a blog circle so please be sure to visit the next photographer in the circle.

My daughter's youngest son has been looking forward to this day for about a year now. Ever since he found out his uncle and "best friend", actually great uncle, was a fireman he has been anxiously awaiting the day that we could visit his fire station. We loaded up the car and took him and his three siblings with us and headed for Louisiana.

Rain was originally in the forecast, but the day couldn't have been nicer.

My brother, the "hero fireman", was the BEST!! He took up so much time and care to show them all about the fire truck and how and why it worked the way it did. He let them sit in the driver's seat (a favorite) and even let them squirt one of the hoses that was already set up at the station.

All in all the day was a hit! This may be a passing thing, or Jonah may grow up to be a fireman like he says, but one thing is for sure....He won't forget this day for a long time!

Everyone needs a brother like mine! Thank you Captain, for loving my grands and for taking one of your few days off to give them an experience that they won't likely forget!

They love you as much as I do!

Janet your brother is a rock star, and I love that he took so much time to show your grandchildren what he does. It is such and awesome experience for them. I love their face, the concentration as they listened. The one with the hose pipe is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.
