"Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}. This is a blog circle so please be sure to visit the next photographer in the circle.
Today is his birthday. He's 57. Not old, yet, not young. He's old enough to have established the way he does things. Things that will define him for generations to come. He's old enough to have worked most of his life...at a profession, and around his home.
He's young enough to still challenge our sons and grandsons to races and games, but old enough to know when to back down. Old enough to teach them a thing or two, but young enough to learn something new.
No matter where his name is spoken, kindness and smiles are always associated with him. His love for Jesus comes first and he shows it in his generous way of living. To live and be a Christian is far more important to him than gaining anything for himself. As his family we feel this in the beautiful way that he loves us.
I decided to photograph just a few of the things around his life that we as a family will always associate with who he is.
Most of the photographs are taken in his basement workshop (which is in terrible disarray because of his latest project), but where he is found most often when he's at home working on projects either for our home or as favors from his heart to our family or friends.
We love you very much and hope your birthday is as good to you as you are to everyone around you!
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. I Corinthians 16:13
