30 minutes in the life: July 2019

Updated: Jul 28, 2019

"Thirty Minutes in the Life" will feature ladies from around the world as we capture 30 minutes in our lives as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends {and photographers}. This is a blog circle so please be sure to visit the next photographer in the circle.

Autumn is my favorite season to photograph leaves from the many different trees in our yard, but this month I decided to get out and enjoy the green leaves before the summertime ends! I love the depth of greens and the way the light hits them at different times of the day. This is also just a sampling of the tree varieties. There are so many more, and some are just too high to get close enough to appreciate.

This is my favorite Spring tree. The Redbud. The beautiful flowers that bloom on this tree are always the first to show up.

One of my favorites year round is this Bradford Pear. These leaves will spend the entire Autumn turning yellow, orange and red before they eventually drop off.

We have several pecan trees close to the house but the squirrels always rob the pecans just before they're ready to gather.

Our Dogwood trees used to be so many that you couldn't count them all but disease has taken about half of them.

I'll have to say, I'm not sure what this one is, but the leaves turn a beautiful yellow in the fall months.

These leaves are much bigger than they look! They are Calcumber leaves as big as your head!

I had to stand up on a pile of logs to get this one. It's a Poplar that stands near the corner of our backyard fence but on the outside facing the chicken pen.

The last one I got within my 30 minutes was this Sweetgum. I love how the leaves are shaped!

The blog circle is great again this month so make sure you click here to follow along with Vicki Winston! You'll love this one!
